Annual Physical Exam

A yearly checkup is one of the best things you can do for your health. We take our time — no rushing. We look at your whole body and make sure everything is working right.

What Happens at Your Checkup

Your doctor will:

  • Ask about your health and any medicines you take
  • Check your blood pressure, heart rate, and weight
  • Look at your body from head to toe
  • Order blood tests if needed
  • Talk about how you eat, sleep, and exercise
  • Make sure your shots are up to date
  • Make a plan to keep you healthy

Why You Need One Every Year

Some health problems — like high blood pressure or diabetes — start quietly. You might feel fine but something could be wrong. A yearly checkup finds these problems early, when they are easiest to fix.

Who Needs a Yearly Checkup?

Everyone! Even if you feel great, you should see your doctor once a year. If you have a health problem that needs watching, you might need to come in more often.
