About Daniel Tan
Dr. Daniel Tan is a physician, healthcare entrepreneur, and co-founder of Red Canyon Medical Clinic, where he serves as Chief Operations Officer. With a career spanning over a decade in healthcare leadership, Dr. Tan has built and scaled multiple medical organizations across the country — each one driven by a singular obsession with doing things better for patients.
Dr. Tan earned his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco, and holds a Master of Public Health in Health Policy and Management from Columbia University. Before medical school, he worked as a respiratory therapist in ICU settings at the University of Virginia — an experience that gave him a ground-level understanding of how care is actually delivered and where it often falls short. His clinical training further deepened his conviction that the healthcare system needed builders, not just practitioners.
That conviction is what led him to entrepreneurship. Since launching his first healthcare venture in 2015, Dr. Tan has founded multiple medical practices and related ventures across several states, earning a reputation for creating organizations that are faster, smarter, and more patient-centered than the status quo.
At Red Canyon Medical Clinic, Dr. Tan oversees operations and strategy — ensuring that every part of the patient experience, from the first phone call to follow-up care, reflects the standard of excellence the clinic was built on.
